Mesdames et messieurs, voyageurs et rêveurs, approchez, approchez !

This season, Ensemble Lemniscate opens the doors of a brand-new marvel, the Cabinet of Curiosities. Not a museum, no, but a living workshop of sound and imagination. Each edition, we summon a single composer to travel with us, to sift through the layers of their musical past, to dig up old obsessions, forgotten gestures, and hidden fragments that once changed their path. And then we remake them anew before your very eyes.

What was once finished becomes raw material again. Past pieces are awakened, passed through the hands, bodies, and breaths of our musicians, re-embodied, re-imagined, given new life. Together we shape an evening-length creation with the composer themselves stepping onto the stage alongside us.

For our first voyage, we welcome the extraordinary Marina Poleukhina of Vienna, a magician of sound and movement whose art dances between composition, improvisation, theatre, and the secret poetry of everyday objects. With her, sound becomes touchable, mischievous, and wonderfully alive.

Step closer, friends! Inside this Cabinet, you will find tiny worlds, each with its own laws, some tightly notated like fine clockwork, others born of improvisation, of objects, of movement itself. And woven through them is a Memory Palace transformed by play, unfolding as a single voyage with many endings and even more beginnings…"
